A special concession has been made for those members who terminated their membership with UNTU to join another Union.
It has been decided that a member who terminated his/her membership with UNTU as from 1 July 2016 and subsequently re-joins UNTU prior to 28 February 2017, the membership of such individual will reflect as continuous membership, meaning he/she will retain all UNTU benefits available as from the said date he/she terminated membership with UNTU.
This concession must not be seen as a precedent, but purely as a gesture of goodwill to entice those members who left UNTU and wishes to re-join.
