UNTU IS EXTENDING UNTU PALMS BENEFITS TO HOSPERSA MEMBERS

The United National Transport Union (UNTU) is proud to announce that it has signed an agreement with the Health & Other Services Personnel Trade Union of South Africa (HOSPERSA) to provide its members of the public and private health sector with the opportunity to enjoy discounted rates.

The United National Transport Union (UNTU), owner of UNTU Palms, decided last year to extend the discounted rates its members enjoy at the seashore family holiday resort to all trade unions affiliated to the Federation of Trade Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA).

UNTU Palms is a beautiful resort in Sunwich Port in KwaZulu-Natal on the Indian Ocean that is popularly known as the Jewel of the South Coast with its sub-tropical forests and stunning birdlife.

Hendrik Fourie, president of UNTU, says compared to facilities in the surrounding area, it is safe to say that UNTU Palms truly can consider itself as being the best of the best.

With a variety of self-catering accommodation to suit the needs of the individual, whether it is camping in a tent or renting a tent from us, standing on a selection of three (3) different camping stands in the caravan park, or deciding between the double story cabanas that can accommodate a family up to six (6), or the simplex chalets that can accommodate up to eight (8).

“The tidal pool on the beach of UNTU Palms is ideal for families with little ones who don’t want the waves crashing down on them. But for those who love the action, don’t forget to bring along your surfboards, diving equipment, and fishing rods. UNTU Palms hosts one of the best surfing- and rock fishing spots on the South Coast,” says Fourie.

The resort also has ample playground for children, a volleyball court, a swimming pool, a putt-putt course, and a games room.

There are two (2) laundry facilities, one (1) situated for easy access from the caravan park and chalets and one (1) for easy access from the cabanas, at UNTU Palms. UNTU Palms has access control throughout the premises of the resort.

Fourie says UNTU Palms will be reopening on the 4th September 2020 after it has been closed for the duration of the Covid-19 global pandemic.

The staff of the resort has been trained to ensure that they comply with the lockdown regulations.

To qualify for the discounted rates, UNTU Palms, will verify the membership of HOSPERSA members. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for a dream holiday and make your booking at UNTU Palms today.
