The past few months, members of the United National Transport Union (UNTU) have been confronted regularly with attempts by representatives of “wannabe’s”, who lie to try and convince members that they can improve their working conditions in the Transport Sector.
These wannabe’s, try to hide their lack of added benefits for your contributions by lying to members by saying that UNTU does nothing to better employee’s working conditions and is a “Whites Only” Union 22 years after democracy.

There are only two recognised Transport Union that can sign Collective Agreements on your behalf at Transnet; PRASA and Bombela.
UNTU is the BIGGEST UNION in the Transport Sector (Transnet, PRASA and Bombela).
UNTU is the only Union that invests the most in the training of your representatives to empower them in the workplace.
UNTU is the ONLY Union taking the December leave issue at Transnet, to Court.
UNTU is the ONLY Union taking the lack of safety of PRASA employees to Court.
UNTU is the ONLY Union taking the 5/6 working day issue at Bombela to Court.
More than 70% of UNTU’s membership are Africans, Coloureds and Indians.
