UNTU’s Covid-19 Task Team held its weekly virtual meeting today (22/01/2021), and unanimously resolved that the Union’s Head Office in Johannesburg and its Regional Offices in Cape Town and Durban will preliminary remain closed for the next two weeks/up until 5 February 2021.
This additional “two-week” period of physical lockdown of the UNTU Offices is UNTU’s Covid-19 Task Team’s contribution to curb the spread of Covid-19 infections amongst members of staff.
All UNTU Offices will still operate remotely via its digital channels.
UNTU Leadership will continue to engage with Executive Management of the various business’s we are recognized in via virtual meetings, using Microsoft Teams or Zoom on any current or ongoing labour related issues.
