CONGRATULATIONS TO UNTU’S FIRST TWO TUR’S AT THE RSR

The United National Transport Union (UNTU) is immensely proud to announce that UNTU members Tabisa Mtati and Lebogang Saku was elected as the Unions first two Trade Union Representatives (TUR’s) to represent our members at the Railway Safety Regulator (RSR).

The Union will train, guide, and assist Tabisa and Lebogang to represent the best interest of UNTU members to the best of their ability in the workplace.

The Leadership of the Union has confidence that our membership at the RSR will prosper and grow with them steering their interest in these exceedingly trying times.

A special thank you to Tabisa and Lebogang for accepting the trust and confidence placed in them by UNTU’s members in accepting their nominations.

Being a TUR is a calling that requires many personal sacrifices to ensure that members are represented when needed.

Tabisa and Lebogang will immediately resume their positions to represent UNTU members on the Employers Covid-19 Crisis Committee.

Now that our TUR’s have been elected, UNTU would like to appeal to our members to support them and strengthen their hands by approaching them first with your concerns in the workplace and allow them to assist.

UNTU’s Deputy-General Secretary Sonja Carstens, UNTU’s Full-Time Trade Union Representative Luvuyo Mdyogolo and UNTU’s National Organiser Maria Chonco is available 24/7 for any assistance.

Esteemed greetings,

Steve Harris

GENERAL SECRETARY: UNTU
